Recently I met a Fantastic Women named
Reverend Keisha Agard from the Great Centennial AME Zion Church in
Mount Vernon, New York. She shared with me her vision of taking the
young people in the Church to NYC to give winter Coats to the needy.
I was grateful to be able to supply Reverend Agard with men’s socks
to be given away during their night out - November 15, 2013.
To my surprise, not only did they take coats to NYC along with
socks, the young people of Greater Centennial Church met early
afternoon to learn more about giving. Then they got busy making
sandwiches, building food bags with sandwiches, juice, and various
snacks. When I moved to another room where they were packing the
coats and socks they also had duffel bags filled with hot soup. What
an exciting night for the young people and all those that were
recipients of all the supplies.
What a AWESOME thing to do
to serve the needy! Reverend Keisha, may the Lord bless you for your
great work with the youth! Just a huge thanks to the Pastor of this
wonderful Church to support such a GREAT EVENT!
We
Appreciate the Pastor of Greater Centennial Church for allowing his
young people to serve the needy..Reverend Dr. Stephen W. Progue.
