Public Action to Deliver Shelter (PADS)

For 25 years DuPage PADS has provided hope for people who are homeless in DuPage County, Illinois, by offering an array of services that builds selfsufficiency and helps to stop the cycle of homelessness. A homeless summer shelter program is held each Saturday night at Redeemer. The shelter is open from 7 pm to 7 am. Guests are assigned a mattress, fresh linens, and a pillow. Space is limited to 51 overnight. TV, books, magazines, and fellowship are provided in a safe environment. They are treated to a healthy, nutritious evening meal, breakfast and a sack lunch when they leave.
